Resilient for Life

starting on 10th September

mini-course for those who want to avoid burnout and better cope with anything life throws at them without meditation, long relaxations or complex breathing techniques

Do you wake up with a pounding heart and jump at any sudden noise?

Does your back go off whenever life gets out of control?

Do you blow a fuse when other people would just get mildly annoyed?

Do your guts or stomach go out of whack when you’re stressed?

Those all might be signs of nervous system DYSREGULATION

And no, you don’t have to ‘‘fix it’’

You don’t have to:

  • sit in the lotus and meditate ‍ ‍

  • find an hour every day for guided relaxation or yoga nidra

  • practice daily complicated breathing techniques or do cold plunges

  • go through a cathartic Ayahuasca ceremony

You only need to become more aware of what’s going on inside you and learn to find signals of safety both inside you and around you.

Seriously, it doesn’t get any more complicated than that.

But it’s not always easy to do when you are dysregulated.

Is it a quick fix?

No!

It’s the way to live your life from now on. Nurture your resilience every day.

  • If you want to feel confident you won’t fall apart when you have to give a public speech, during a job interview or when the boss criticises you in front of your colleagues.

  • If you want to go beyond healthy diet and regular exercise and get to the bottom of your chronic tension and pain, anxiety, fatigue, or insomnia.

  • If you’re fed up of being always edgy and nervous or - just the opposite- apathetic and drained.

  • If you feel you just can’t cope with caring for loved ones anymore without physically and mentally collapsing

This course might be for you

Learn how to self-regulate every day of your life and become resilient in the face of life’s ups and downs.

I’m Weronika Chaberko

a Somatic Practioner and Therapist with almost 20 years of experience in changing people’s lives

As a teenager, I lived in a state of permanent anxiety. Even a bus ride to an unknown neighbourhood would set my heart racing. I craved peace, and I initially thought I found it in Yoga. But the pressure to be a flexible, calm and perfect Yogi didn’t sit well with me.

Over the years, I expanded the toolkit of techniques that affect the nervous system. But it wasn’t until I discovered the somatic approach many years later that the pieces of the puzzle fell into place.

Body tension release, breathwork, mindfulness or even talking therapy are all SECONDARY to what determines how we are and how we feel every moment - our nervous system.

I truly believe the purpose of a teacher and therapist is to provide you with the tools to help yourself - whenever you need it.

‘‘Thanks to this recording, I know perfectly well what to do when I feel anxious, I feel an unpleasant squeeze in the belly and millions of thoughts circle in my head. Already after the first listening I could feel a significant reduction of tension in my body and peace of mind. It does wonders!”

-Sylwia Iwanek about the audio resources used in the course

6 Modules of Resilience for Life

  1. Resourcing

The resources to help yourself in the most emotionally painful or stressful situation are always there with you.
I will show you how you can apply them so that you can help yourself in difficult moments.

2. Felt sense

The first step to nervous system regulation is learning how to feel and how to be with the sensations and emotions showing up in your body.

3. Coping with intensity

Pendulation and titration are two basic approaches you can apply when you’re overwhelmed. You can dillute and take in small doses those difficult sensations and emotions so that you can cope with them better.

4. Self-soothing

Although the overall goal is to be able to cope with any level of intensity and take it as it is, there are situations where all that matters is you can soothe yourself. Self-touch is a big part of this process.

5. Overcome the freeze

Sometimes the nervous system is so overloaded it goes to the freeze state, showing up as e.g. depression, chronic fatigue.
There are ways to gently and very gradually coax your nervous system to shift from that state.

6. From fight-and-flight to rest-and-restore

There’s nothing wrong with activation, so long as we’re not stuck in this mode all the time. The approach to move out of chronic fight-and-flight is different from moving out of freeze and is much more than trying to relax.
